This task order is a planning effort to facilitate better traffic flow along Airline Highway - one of Ascension Parish’s major corridors. The signalization of 19 intersections was studied.
Ashland Rd. to South St Landry Ave. Connector
[New Road]
A new 2-lane roadway connector is now complete from S. St. Landry Ave. to Ashland Road just above Lamar Dixon Expo Center. The project is about one-half mile in length.
Babin Rd. Bridge Replacement over Bayou Narcisse
[New Bridge]
Babin Road west of Airline Highway crosses the railroad track and then Bayou Narcisse as it proceeds to K.C. Road. This project will replace the bridge over Bayou Narcisse.
C Braud Rd. Safety Widening (LA 73 to Bluff Rd)

This project will widen C Braud Rd. for safety improvement from Bluff Road to LA Hwy 73. The project is approximately 1 mile in length.
Churchpoint Rd. at Roddy Rd. Roundabout
[Roundabout]
This improvement will construct a new roundabout at the intersection Churchpoint and Roddy Roads. Final Design and necessary utility relocations are complete.
Duplessis Rd. Safety Widening

This project will widen Duplessis Rd. from US 61 (Airline Highway) to LA 73.
Germany Rd. at US 61 Turn Lanes
[Turn Lane]
This project will improve the intersection of Germany Road at US 61 to include left, thru and right turn lanes.
Germany Rd. Safety Widening
[Safety Widening]
This project will widen 2 miles of Germany Road from Hwy. 44 to US 61 providing safety improvements.
Henry Rd. (LA 73 to Tillotson) C&G
[Safety Widening]
This portion of the project comprises the earthwork - the “clearing and grubbing” of right-of-way to implement the safety widening of the 1-1/2 mile segment of Henry Road from Hwy 73 to Hwy 930.
Henry Rd. Widening (LA 73 to Tillotson)
[Safety Widening]
A 1-1/2 mile segment of Henry Road from Hwy 73 to Hwy 930, and continuing on West Lane from Hwy 930 to Tillotson Road will be widened for safety. The bridge over Muddy Creek will be replaced with a box culvert for improved channel flow.
